What's new in Windows 10 21H1 update, coming in March 2021

What's new in Windows 10 21H1 update, coming in March 2021, Microsoft's 21H1 update will appear for the first time in the first half of 2021, and this is a bigger update with more new features and it follows the fall 2020 20H2 update, which was focused on stability and dazzling.

As usual, Microsoft makes no guarantee that these features will appear in the final release of the 21H1, and they are currently in development for what will become the 21H1 update, but Microsoft may withdraw these features and spend more time working on them - or not release them at all, and with that in mind, Let's take a look at what Microsoft is working on.

What's new in Windows 10 21H1 update, coming in March 2021

1- Secure DNS via HTTPS or (DoH) system-wide

Microsoft now lets you enable system-wide DNS over HTTPS (or DoH) for all Windows applications, and DNS over HTTPS will enhance online privacy and security by encrypting DNS lookups, and in current versions of Windows 10 this only supports a few web browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox, and once the system-wide support ends, all Windows applications will get DoH benefits without any modifications.

2- Configure DNS in the Settings app

The Settings app in Windows 10 now lets you configure your DNS Servers - and Settings for DoH, and setting up a custom DNS server in advance requires you to visit the classic Control Panel, and to find DNS settings (and DNS over HTTPS), head to Settings> Network & Internet> Status (for wired Ethernet connections) ) Or Settings> Network & Internet> Wi-Fi (for wireless connections) and click Properties, scroll down, and click Edit under DNS Settings, and with one of the DoH-enabled DNS servers that Microsoft lists here, you can enable Encrypted DNS via HTTPS, and in the current test version, it works with Cloudflare, Google, and Quad9's DNS servers.

3- Startup application notifications

When the Windows application sets itself to start automatically with your computer, Windows will now display a Startup App Notification that tells you this, and you can go to Settings> Applications> Startup Settings> Apps> Startup (or use the Task Manager Manager) to disable the startup application, and at this time this feature only displays applications that appear in Settings> Applications> Startup screen Settings> Apps> Startup screen, and other applications that start automatically in other ways - for example, applications that install system service - You will not trigger any of these notifications.

4- "Windows Voice Typing" replaces Windows dictation

Windows Voice Typing is the new, improved, and renamed version of Windows Dictation. You can use it to type with your voice anywhere there is a text box on your Windows 10 computer. Voice typing features a design that is "optimized for use with touch keyboards" Use with touch keyboards, automatic punctuation marks, and an updated "back end" that promises a more reliable voice typing experience. To activate it, press Windows + H or press the microphone button built into the Windows 10 touch keyboard. Microsoft offers a list of voice commands that you can. Try it out using voice typing.
